Language is not a neutral tool of communication, it reflects a variety of phenomena from thehistory and the present of a nation.

Linguistic classification determinants can serve as the basisfor examining the presence or absence of a group in the social sphere. Plurality of forms ofdeterminants may indicate the denser presence of women in a certain sphere.

In Serbian language, the noun for the appointment of women according to the profession withmost synonyms are: “witch” (22), “prostitute” (20), “maid” (19).

I had allocated all the synonyms for these nouns and had them embroidered onto silk (craft ofembroidery is considered to be predominantly a female technique). Because of the nature of thiswork many elements are untranslatable.
